COUNSELLING HUB

Counselling Hub Team

At Hamilton Elim Church we care about people. If you are struggling spiritually, mentally or emotionally, we would encourage you to reach out, we’d love to support you.

We offer six free counselling sessions to the Hamilton Elim Church whānau. We also welcome community enquiries and a small fee will be applied. We are available to see clients in our counselling room at the Hamilton Elim Church, online via Zoom or by phone.

Why Should I Get Counselling?

Sometimes we find ourselves stuck and unsure of what the next step is. We need a safe space to talk and begin to find our way forward. Counselling can collaboratively help you unlock the next step in whatever you are facing, whether anxiety, grief and loss, depression, stress, relationship conflicts or something that is causing you distress. Counselling can help you find clarity and gain confidence to take that next step towards the life you desire.

Our Approach

Our counsellors have a range of experience in counselling and pastoral roles and have been privileged to work with people from many different walks of life, ages, and ethnicities. We have seen and experienced many of the ups and downs of life that we can find ourselves in and have come to believe that there is always hope.

Our counsellors and trainee counsellors are trained in a variety of modalities including

Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Narrative Therapy. Our team have regular professional development and supervision to support the quality of our counselling practice.

We are committed to the New Zealand Christian Counsellors Association’s Code of Ethics.

We offer a respectful, safe and non-judgmental space for you to feel comfortable to share your life story and process some of the challenging and painful parts.
